Erm, that is what I said above :-)

Though with Win11 Home you can install with an MSA, then create a local admin, and a local non-admin, then nuke the MSA ... that's probably easier at this point than jumping through the hoops to avoid creating it.

Thanks to all who commented and offered advice in this thread. The outcome is: this has comprehensively discouraged my friend from using New Outlook. My brother installed Thunderbird for her as so far she is happy with that.

Scott, If this doesn't get lost, you might want to look at the tbkeys-lite plug-in which lets you do things like assign the ">" key to move to next message..
