Removing Baked on Sycamore sap

Whilst my daughter was unable to drive her car, it was sat under a Sycamore tree much of the sap has formed into tar like globules. The pressure washer and car shampoo just is not touching it. Tar remover does shift them but it is taking quite a lot of rubbing and reapplication. I have found one of those dish washing sponges with a plastic scourer on one side speeds the job up a little and so far does not seem to affect the paintwork.

Anyone got any other suggestion?

If not I might continue with the tar remover and scourer and rejuvenate the paintwork with an application of car polish.

as long as it is white, not green, it is relatively safe. You need a combination of a detergent and a hydrocarbon like diesel to soften the sap

With some substances use HOT water and washing up liquid.

If at all water soluble leave a wet towel over the offending area for an hour to let the water soak slowly into the substance.
