who has had a car insurance refund then and what companies ? ....

The AA were bitching that the oil companies haven't dropped the cost of fuel in line with crude prices.

But I've not had any car insurance refund from them like Admiral Group are doing.

Which suggests they need to learn a bit about spot pricing and how energy companies actually work.

The car is still on risk whether driven or not ...

Massively reduced risk, especially if parked off road.

The AA is not an insurance company! Like many of the well known names they are just selling products from others and taking a commission.

They probably have, actually, given that what is it, 85p or so of the cost of each litre of petrol is duty, VAT, and who-knows-what other taxes. So petrol has gone from 125p or so to 103p or so, about a 50% reduction on the oil industry's take. Similarly, home heating oil is now in the 20p/litre range, down from about 45p when I last got some.
