Radiators and Building Control

According to Which?'s recent publication about Building Control, adding extra radiators to an existing system is notifiable.

Really? Is that true? If so, does anybody bother?

From Part L

"The types of non-notifiable work [...] relevant to the energy efficiency requirements regulations are:

In a heating, hot water, ventilation or air-conditioning system, the replacement of any part which is not a combustion appliance (such as radiator, valve or pump) or the addition of an output device (such as a radiator or fan)"

even if true, WDYT?

I would say that's wrong and adding a radiator is exempted by The Building Regulations 2010, Schedule 4 (1) (f) (ii) "adding an output device".

That looks a little out of date.

But PART 2 10 looks interesting.

That's the 2010 "as made" version, they don't seem to have a version incorporating all the amendments since then ...
