new suite arriving saturday - need to remove a patio door for better access

how is it done ?

Mike

There are usually blocks screwed to the top rail to prevent the doors being lifted out. You might have to remove any limit stops and covers first to gain access - maybe even handles, etc.

f.y.i - no blocks, but had to remove a 'footplate' from the bottom of the door to remove a (rather flimsy) L shaped bracket which prevented the door being lifted out

f.y.i. - suite still doesn't fit, how are you on removing windows ?

Think I'd do some measuring first. ;-)

If they're modern windows, they'll have all sorts of gunge sealing them in, so probably a real pain to remove and replace without damage.

Can't the suite be taken apart?
