OT: Zojirushi Coffee Maker

I’m confused. Why spend so much on something that can be had much much cheaper? For example…

For some reason the link says 'SS Vacuum Flask' but then shows an overpriced coffee maker. And why you'd want a 'copy of' another brand? I'm not sure why you'd want to buy this from a sketchy website with absolutely no contact information. While it says '98% made in Japan/Korea' (clearly the above must be in the 2% that isn't) the site screams Chinese dropshipping.

I'm yet to find any flags which aren't red...

What's the Japanese (or Korean, or Thai) for Caveat Emptor?

Thanks everyone. The only reason I looked at it at all was that I wanted a compact machine that does not rely on capsules to replace an earlier De Longhi ICM14011, now discontinued. However, what you have said confirms my own thoughts so I will give this the body swerve.

Have a look in charity shops. I was browsing and spotted a De Longhi ICM2.B coffee maker for sale for a fiver so I bought it. That was 3 years ago, and it is still working perfectly. Even if it stops working tomorrow, I have had my money's worth.
