My lounge radio clock sits on the mantlepiece, very close to the front so I can see it.
I think it must have moved forwards instead of back last night, it's on the floor in pieces.

Do you have a feline?
Just very active escapement
If it's analogue, it would probably have driven forwards 11 hours at high speed; perhaps it shook itself off!

And if not, do you have visiting rodents? Otherwise, its a poltergeist, friendly or otherwise.
You don't have to have a pet to have this type of problem, just leave a window open and the neighbour's cat will pop in and do it for you.
And then leave a parting gift.
We've never had that (from visiting cats, residents can be a different matter) just a 'rearrangement' of small objects and a surprise when you come across a strange cat making itself at home.
Bloody kestrel fell down the chimbly in the storms. Managed to encourage it out of a window.
Birdshit on the window cill of course...
It could be worse. We had a pigeon fall down the chimney when the house was unoccupied. That really did make a mess. It took about 4 hours to clear up. John
A couple of years ago, when I had scaffolding up, my roofer put some caps on the main chimney pots, glued in place. Storm Benjamin managed to remove one, no idea where to. I hope I don't resume getting starlings falling down the chimney until such time as I can get it replaced.
We get small fry. We found a Blue Tit fluttering around inside the wood stove (it was unlit at the time).
