OT Thunderbird and Eternal September

I moved to Opera for RSS and NG after various log-in problems with Eternal September while using Thunderbird.

Not too happy with Opera and wonder whether the Tbird ES problems had been resolved or whether anyone had any other suggestions.

TIA for any ideas.

(I use Windows 7 64 bit, mainly Chrome for web and Gmail for email and live part in UK and part in Spain)

There was a change in TB a couple of versions ago, now a single dialogue box prompts for both username and password, rather than two dialogues prompting for each separately, I've not had any glitch with E-S authentication since then ...

Works fine for me too.

Thanks Andy and Steve.

Am giving Thunderbird another go. Really like the K to Ignore thread which is actually working.

Cheers Andy. I would be the first to admit to posting off topic but it is sometimes a little difficult sorting out the wheat from the chaff around here!

Yup a few filters improve ease of use greatly.

The "watched threads with unread" trick I find most useful for keeping track of conversations in multiple places - especially ones that get awoken after a few weeks of inactivity.
