The misdemeanours of others do not excuse bad behaviour by oneself. Does somebody else stealing make theft by yourself acceptable? How about murder? Reckless, inconsiderate motoring does not excuse reckless, inconsiderate cycling.

If one is interested, one can look at how bigotry about cyclist criminality arose in a thread where the OP is about a woman flinging herself into a ditch in order to avoid Mr Toad in his Land Rover. Mr Toad being duly convicted, and there being no suggestion of criminal behaviour by the cyclists involved.

I don't suffer from cyclist bigotry. Only dislike those who disregard the laws. And the same ones who bleat on about banning cars.
