M50 to the wrong ferry port? Sounds like a f*ck up only a gABshite Irishman could be proud of....

Unless you meant the Irish M50 of course... ;-)

From your post....

"The £40-00 was dropped to six euro."

& apparently changed currency too...

"Apparent". FFS I even used the related word "apparently" & correctly spelt in the sentence you seized upon this time...

Still pound sign /Euro sign confusion & general illiteracy - good credentials for a pro European gABshite ;-)

Many thanks for the replies regarding my latest hypertension boost.

I failed to get a response from the ripoff thugs at EPC so I got in touch with the Irish motorway toll agents.

They were to have phoned back over a week back, but I didn't persue it as I wasn't working anywhere near home.

They must have tried many times to get in touch and They rang on Friday [Yesterday].

The £40-00 was dropped to six euro.

I did point out that I didn't think the excess charge was fair and would have difficulty in justifying payment anyway.

I also suggested that if they wanted to encouragel stunts like whacking penalties up through the roof, they should come and set up in England.

Before it was a an automated toll, I was headed to the wrong ferryport. The M50 toll booth operator confirmed my error when I asked and told me to come off at the next exit and turn around. The toll payment was declined.

A nicer environment, that at least makes it less stressful handing Ones cash over.

Or we have the UK approach with signs telling people not to swear at or attack the toll booth operators.

At least that is one plus point regarding Brexit, I am happy not to be English any more.

Ferryports are all basically in the same general place. Which bit of the M50 One uses for access is often dictated by traffic conditions and tolls in force at the time of travel.

of course he meant the Irish M50

specifically the TOLL bridge over the river Liffey

what else did you think he was talking about

Well a toll on the bridge over the Severn just after Strencham services would provide an interesting talking point.

A Euro toll would get the knuckle draggers agitated to say the least.

As One's daily trek is M5 and M50, it would be nice to post some notices at Strecham Services advising motoriststs to have their Euro ready :-)

Yes indeed, it is quite apparant isn't it?

The currency symbol and word "Euro" has made it so.

Such profound observation and ability to follow basic facts might have come in useful at the referendum vote what??

I can see you don't miss much old bean!!

Confusion?

Where does the confusion lie? I certainly am not confused. I am not going to stick an ascii look up table on the desk just so some knuckle dragging Brexit voters might not have to do a bit of reading.

One does not have automated spell checking on the newsreader, but this is Usenet. If you want perfect spelling and grammar you are using the wrong communications medium.
