I've just installed a 312GW (15% cashback from Currys through TopCashBack - sadly that's expired now) and am pleased with it though there's no rear view from it.

I bought two permanent wiring kits and a second mount so I can move it between Management's car and mine.

I think your reverse camera on the same device is going to be next to impossible to find

Have NextBase even produced a separate reverse camera yet?

And maybe increasingly so, as they come built in ?

I can't see those working so well.

My 512GW has a socket for a rear camera - but last time I looked, none were yet available.

Our Citroen came with a reversing camera and HD display for it.

A company which tries to charge an illegal "re-stocking" fee if you wish to exercise your legal right to return goods does not encourage trust.

Nothing illegal about that at all.

Most dash cams have tiddly screens not sure I'd want to be peering at a 1.5" LCD display to reverse. Anyway that's what mirrors are for. B-)

Mine includes front and rear cam recording, both are supplied and the display can be set for permanent rear view, but the display is far too small to be usefull for rear view. I have a separate rear view camera, which feeds into the ICE /TV display for that. It's camera I mounted under the tow ball.

In spite of the battery problems I've had with it, I'd still buy another ddPai M6+ or M4+ (same thing, I understand). Because it has no screen, it is small and almost invisible behind the rear view mirror. I have a much cheaper, but still quite good basic camera in the other car and it's much more obvious to passengers and external ne'er do wells.

The M6+ gives sharp images, has a useful and good parking mode, and all the other things like GPS, wifi and so on. The stick anywhere button that takes a recording is also a good feature. The magnetic connection makes it really easy to take indoors to copy stuff off the memory card. Getting the card out of the other camera is much more of a hassle.

One of their other models can be stuck in the back window and will work in conjunction with the front cam, I understand.

Mine is working well with its battery removed until I try to get a replacement, work out how to replace it with a tiny big capacitor or decide not to bother. They are on ebay and Amazon for about ?80.

They were £72ish from iZilla when I was buying, and £79 from Halfords but the price seems to have gone up across the board since then. £83.95 and £99 respectively!

The distance selling laws say otherwise.

I read it as the re-stocking fee applies to non-faulty goods being returned for a refund after the distance selling regulation time has expired.
