Better get canceling Alex they don't even have an act to get together been talking to a lady friend tonight who has just had to sign up to another 12 month contract due to getting some money making piece of nonsense or other that they are snaring customers with added to her account now she wishes she had left well alone . Sorry I am wrong Alex they do have an act and it is working quite nicely it is called enticing customers with promises of UNLIMITED broadband and then robbing them of half the speed they are paying for every single night of the week . Soon customers will wake up and down the pan VM will go like a few other ISP'S in this country have done due to their rip off tactics, personally I would love to see their financiers call in the millions of pounds that they owe them .

"not being robbed of half of it every night of the week which is what was happening with Blueyonder"

You cud have commented on that bit.

That 'trial' has bin goin on for months now, and they shud either do something, or do something. People on that trial are havin their bandwidth restricted, whilst still payin the full price for it. And i the mean time they are advertisin in that area with the word 'UNLIMITED' a very big sellin point for them. It is a big sellin point, cuz that's all they base their ads on, is 'UNLIMITED'

They surveyed McD's customers on a rainy Wednesday afternoon.

And no member of By's staff have ever had the guts to say when the so called " permanent" deliberate cutting of customers bandwidth is going to end had the boot been on the other foot and they where trailing giving customers free phone calls or whatever the trial would have ended within hours not months .

Of course they are Telewest and some members of their staff must be the biggest liars in the business

It is about time some agency pulled them over their continual lying if cutting customers bandwidth isn't LIMITING customers service I do not know what is and lying about the fact that it was happening in the first place makes it even worse .

In article , Alex Brown of alex snipped-for-privacy@blueyonder.co.uk, felt we'd be interested in the following...

Why can't you answer them in full in a public forum?

This will need investigating - I can't comment on individual account issues but am happy to try to help out.

That ISP that is at the bottom of the ISP ratings? The ISP that are takin money from customers under the pretence of providin them with an advertised 'UNLIMITED' connection, but actually not providin them with an 'UNLIMITED' connection, but 'LIMITING' their bandwidth between the hours of 4:00pm to 12:00am? The ISP that sounds like a 'FAST FOOD ISP' by namin their packages M/L/XL?

Virgin already had a bad reputation as an ISP before all this, and I can't see it gettin any better. Especially as the ratings/comments/votes/criticisms they get, are categorised as the ISP as a whole, and not the ADSL and/or CABLE part of it.

You're just talking bollocks now Gonz - you know as well as anyone else who used BY's support groups that the support was second to none, don't let your grievances with Alex or BY cloud your judgement

You're lyin again... I've never bin on Virgin Media.

I wouldn't even consider it, not even if you sent Uma round to try and tempt me.

Where did I say the support bods in the groups, weren't?

You're just clutchin at straws now, with that statement. Especially when I never had a problem with any of the support staff.

I am not missing them with their lying staff members and their totally useless Indian tech support staff or their great speeds 52.1 k/sec when I should have been getting at least 370 a sec, just tried pulling the same file now from gamefiles and I was getting 631.5 k/sec . Problem is BY do not know the true meaning of the word UNLIMITED .
