Newsnight and ventilators.

How many have YOU paid for?

When you've matched, say, 10% of Musk's number, come back and criticise him.

Well he certainly changed the face of vacuum cleaners.

He seems to be doing quite well delivering electric cars.

As this is UK DiY anyone raided the Oxygen bottle from an Oxy Acetelyne set and connected it the WW2 gas mask found in Grandads loft last year ready to give themselves a quick whiff. Pure Oxygen for too long would be dangerous , maybe connect the bottle to a modellers airbrush sellotaped up a nostril and just cracked open a bit.

I doubt you are alone. However, you wouldn't get the choice unless it had been approved by the local ethical committee. Were it an innovative treatment (e.g. implanting a 3D printed body organ) that had been through all tests possible without putting into a human, they likely would approve a very limited trial, possibly on a single patient.

However, no ethical committee is going to approve the widespread use on humans of a new version of an existing machine that is being made because of an anticipated future need. Once it gets regulatory approval they are likely to approve clinical trials, but the machines won't get rolled out in quantity until those trials are complete.

Tesla was doing brilliantly but several observers say Covid-19, along with the falling price of oil, has very seriously dented its growth projections.

How pure is that oxygen? Good enough for a gas torch, sure. But is it good enough to breath? A few ppm CO wouldn't bother a gas torch...

And you need to warm it up before breathing it.

I'm sure he'll be over the moon with the styling of the ventilator housing JCB has designed for them :-)

Oh dear. I can't see that going down well with Dyson!

Incidentally, over the past few days they have been advertising locally for 60 'production operatives' to build the ventilators at the Hullavington site. 8hr shifts, 24hr operation, minimum of four weeks work. £10/hr day £15/hr nights, free canteen and parking if you're interested ;-)

Thanks for confirming your closed mind. And your poor memory. It was extensively covered at the time. Dyson wanted to expand further into what was green field, with no reason to allow change of use.

But I'm sure the likes of you don't give a stuff about any development. Provided it is not in your back yard.

When history comes to be written, James Dyson will be seen to be am accomplished confidence trickster -- somewhat like Camila Batmanghelidjh of Kids Company who fooled everyone she came into contact with.
