If memory serves me (and it does after getting google to, rather reluctantly ISTM, confirm this particular memory), a "Jiffy" is also the name of an Australian condom manufacturing company hence, by the power of commutation, it is also the name of what we in the UK refer to as a "Durex" (aka "Johnny", "Rubber" and so on and so forth).
Indeed, an earlier advertising slogan used to be "Come in a Jiffy", later changed to "Wear a Jiffy on your stiffy". :-)
