I have just replaced the backplate for about the 3rd time as they are prone to cracking if the valve gets a bit of a knock.
Has anyone else encountered this and come up with a better fix than the genuine replacement part which is rather brittle.
(Oh to have access to the tools and materials of my Toolmaking days!)
