Leisure Rangemaster 55 component

A friend of mine is having trouble tracking down a component for his cooker, so I thought I'd ask here, in case anyone has any ideas of a likely source or supplier. He has tried the manufacturer and spent a lot of time ringing around, to no avail.

The cooker is a Leisure Rangemaster 55, with both oven and hob running on propane. We're not sure of the exact name for the part, but it is some kind of thermocouple or oven safety device - the thing that restricts the aperture for the gas when it is being lit, and allows it to open further when a certain temperature has been reached.

If anyone knows what this is, or has any ideas where to get one specific to this cooker, I'd be very grateful.

It's OK, I did some Deep Googling for him, and found a supplier who could supply one :-)

Regards Richard

But sadly didn't share the info with the group for the benefit of future googlers :-/

I can do tomorrow, when I'm back at work and can check from hs email which suplier he got it from. If you like ;-)

Will this be a common need, do you think?

Regards Richard

Maybe not for the part you mention but if someone is doing a google groups looking for Rangemaster spares they'll get a name for a supplier rather than just the question. It's always good to give feedback (or in your case maybe it's feedforward :-)
