1) OPNSense is a router software distro. It is quite heavyweight. 2) OpenVPN is resource hungry/slow depending on hardware. Wireguard VPN is faster, more modern.
Depending on your usecase, unless you already use OPNsense, you are probably better setting a Wireguard VPN up in docker containers.
