Well, here I am waffling about Owain's posts and meanwhile the Jotul woodburner starts banging and gurgling. It did it earlier today and I topped the system up, which I have to do from time to time, and thought no more about it. Now I see that the internal boiler has sprung a leak. I'm about to google, but does anyone happen to know if these internal boilers are a standard thing that can be replaced? I have no idea of the model, it was in the house when we bought it. At a guess it is about
15-20 years old. It is longer front to back than side to side unlike most woodburners and has rather nice reindeer on the sides! It has been absolutely brilliant, it's the only form of heating in one half of our house, the temperature is well below freezing outside and I really really don't want to have go and buy a new woodburner tomorrow :-( Any ideas please anyone?? TIA-- Holly, in France Gite to let in Dordogne, now with pool.
