My daughter believes that the world has not yet woken up to the phenomenal possibilities of sellotape.

I had an A&E surgeon who thought the same.

Also good for sticking cables to PITA surfaces that resist nails - also things like taking awkward cables into wall chases prior to plastering.

Handy for potting small circuits in boxes...

You can sometimes find rawlplug sticks that are handy for getting a fixing in really crumbly plaster.

Sticks plastic to wood quite well.

Alt.gerbil.sellotape.keystage1 is thataway...

The surgeon was using it as a low-tack alternative to sticking plaster. Since many of his patients were hairy rock climbers, it was the humane thing to do.

Yes, but the "open time" is annoyingly short before the glue sets.

I just wear disposable gloves. If you blob yourself badly, you peel.

Thanks for that, I'll stick to the hot melt (pun not intended.)

I was confused for a moment, 78s dont come in an EP version afaik. You modern progressive people!

Sorry, the goons "Unchained Melodies" (Decca 1964) was an LP - I just checked

Ah, you are forgetting the rest of the song. It was a "fiddle of gold." Prolly assembled with silver solder, to withstand the high temperature.

Edwin.
