When I spent a few days in hospital about four years ago, they came round to check me over before I was discharged. My BP was a bit higher than it had been, and the consultant said it was a common occurrence when his very attractive female registrar (who was with him) took the reading.

Too bloody true that is!. I had an eye problem once was being "checked out" by a young female Czech doctor! I was supposed to be looking at her nose as a reference point whilst she used an instrument to look at the retina but problem was my eyes for some reason kept drifting down to her young ample cleavage;!..

She then said in a rather firm voice "will you please look at me up here not down there, if I should need you to do that I will tell you so"! talk about going red;!.

Not my fault .. she shouldn't have been showing so much, seemed very unprofessional to me;!(>...

I'd have defied any bloke not to have been distracted;)..

And seeing that most modern cars it takes ages to change a light bulb what is the lesser evil doing that if you can do it by the roadside or driving on to somewhere where you can take the car to bits ?...

Yes as maybe but it doesn't seem to bother any of the cardiologists I've seen. They say it seems just the way I am .. awkward;!..

In fact more often than not the "large" *hospital ones don't seem to work that often whereas the smaller home model Omron ones seem fine;!..

I believe the extension lead was invented in the last century. Or just fit a longer cable.

Tried that, and the choke, and cursing at it, and kicking it. An electric motor simply requires one switch. Modern technology, can't beat it.

Then swear because it worked perfectly *last* week but it's now not working and, after checking,it turns out to be unrepairable...

A motor is a very simple device without much to go wrong. Almost every electric device I've had that wore out was a part other than the motor. A part that would have been present on a petrol one too anyway.

Having first unwound cable stretched it out across lawn plugged in to socket then finding extension cable and unrolling that and plugging that in and plugging lawn mover cable into extension lead and switched on, continually checking that you are not about to cut cable with lawn mover etc. Push throttle hard on, close choke pull cord open choke off you go without a care in the world,
