Guttering

Not sure of the make / model - but is it likely that I will be able to obtain new rubber seals for the guttering joints?

Maybe, but silicone is your friend. It make custom fitted gaskets to anything.

Trouble is guttering needs to move to take up expansion/contraction due to temperature changes. Wouldn't silicone prevent that movement?

We aren't talking little movements either but an 1" or so over a 3M length of guttering.

If you grease one side, then the silicone sets but does not adhere to that side.

Having be plagues by this for years IME none of these sealers , silicone or otherwise ar much cop. Best replace the rubber seals. They can ve hard to find as presumably half the country is looking for them as they fail so easily
