Is the tap on the end of a c/h filling loop the same as a washing machine tap, e.g.:

Thanks Harry, so there is no standard tap for a filling loop? What happens if you want to just replace the tap?
no, washing m/c taps have 3/4" BSP threads, CH filling links have 1/2" BSP. But you can get away with a fitting with a 15mm compression thread (and leaving off the nut & olive).
