bob gurgled happily, sounding much like they were saying:
AltGr is usually to the right of the space bar.
Ctrl - Alt - 4 works on my keyboard

Vortex7 gurgled happily, sounding much like they were saying:

??????????????????????????? ???????????????????????????
alt gr and 4 together
That displays as a universal currency symbol here, not a euro symbol.
A bit like a sputnik, small 'o' with diagonal line in each corner.
AltGr, then 'o', then 'x'.
Windows users need not apply I suspect, VT220 keyboard anyone?
Tim Streater gurgled happily, sounding much like they were saying:
Yer charset's fooked. Works fine here.
AltGr + O (letter)
Not convinced, it *does* show as a euro now you've quoted it, but in Tim's original there was no characterset or encoding specified, so leaving each client to guess how to interpret the 8bit data ...
Andy Burns gurgled happily, sounding much like they were saying:
Ah. Your defaults are fooked, then.
Looks like TB's set for ISO-8859-1 for everything, never mind.
That's innaresting. This is MT-NewsWatcher 3.5.3b3. I thought I'd set it to send posts as UTF-8 but perhaps I need to send an additional header to make that plain.
Hmmmm does this help ?
