Hi all just wondering if it is worth upgrading my 40-year-old Braun electric shaver...
I am a lazy shaver and not over-hirsute; I usually use a safety razor, perhaps twice a week. But I also have a 'classic' Braun from the 1980s which I occasionally use. I replaced the batteries once, and maybe the foil and/or cutter ... I mainly use it for a 'pre-trim' prior to a manual shave, if I've left it too long.
The batteries are getting a bit sad again and even though I am a bit of a skinflint, I was wondering about the economies of keeping this going. Just how much has electric shaver technology improved over the last few decades, or is it mostly marketing? Would I be astounded at the improvement with a newer low-end (< £75 quid, say) model?
Note that I am not interested in something that keeps me buying 'disposable' blades at extortionate prices etc.
Thanks J^n
