DNS hosting?

Hi,I'm moved my email to Gsuite which has dealt with a lot of spam and no longer need to run a linode (who are very good BTW).The only thing that's left on that linode is my primary DNS (zone, sub zones and arpa zones for delegated reverse lookups).Does anyone know of any DNS *hosting* company that provides support for arbitrary arpa zone hosting?My registrar gandi can't do it, my ISP can but their MX records are a bit limited. Linode can host a slave arpar zone (how I'm doing it now) but not a master zone with PTR records.All I want a DNS hoster that offers actual DNS hosting with all facets complete and correct :) Not one with 95% and one bit missing!Doesn't have to be free - in fact I'd prefer to pay a small charge for an actual service.Cheers,Tim

I use gandi with AWS Route53, any particular type of RR you need to support?  I mainly use R53 due to its "ALIAS" feature like a CNAME to handle web redirection to S3 buckets

I've used Zonomi ( for many years now and can highly recommend them. Support for forward and reverse, and pretty much any feature you could imagine. For a single zone it'd be free.Mathew

Ah.. Just realised that a forward and reverse zone would of course count as two zones and hence it'd be $10/yr. As you touch on though, sometimes it's worth actually paying for something like this.

That's actually what I do myself for DNS and mail. But some people would rather not get into that.That said, I use Prolateral myself for backup DNS and MX.

Since the demise of Gradwell's secondary DNS/MX services, I have used @portfast for a customer who needs "proper" dynamic DNS updates (ie. NOTIFY/AXFR rather than mickymouse dynDNS).

I too had to move when Gradwell rather abruptly terminated my secondary DNS/MX services.The Prolateral one is proper NOTIFY/AXFR too.
