So what? That's not in dispute. The discussion was about the above- mentioned "com" domain.

Which ones are missing and why does he need them?

Not correct. There are others.

That requires a login so must be a private forum. You'll should reply to the relevant thread here with your own words, not with a link to somewhere that's not public.

It IS in dispute!

It's NOT what it says here (screenshot)

The dns settings are very basic, only a normal ipv4 A record, a MX mailserver record and the SOA record ...no ipv6 record and not even a www. record with the ipv4 A record

Other than the fact that he doesn't have (or need) a full set of dns records, nothing bad appears to be going on.

Please quantify if that is true.

I am entitled to do as I choose. You've been to x704 previously, have you not? Why do you always seek confrontation?!!!

Here's a screenshot for you:-

The name servers aren't in dispute. As I said, you asked about that "com" domain because you thought it was hosting tekrider. I covered it pretty comprehesively in a few posts. You never gave any feedback to show you understood.

One of the sites (tekrider) using the shared hosting.

Because IPV6 is not being used.

There is no WWW DNS record type.

So the records are as complete as they need to be.

I'm pleased you've at last realised this.

There's NS and TXT records.

What's the point of posting links that people can't access?

Yes but I'm not a member of that place.

Why do you think I'm doing that (I'm not)? I'm trying to get straight answers from you to see if you've grasped what I've been saying. Why should I bother explaining things you ask about if you give no indication you've read, understood or need further clarification?

"You were warned not to bring your battles to this board".

Says it all.

You know what isn't in dispute for me? That DB doesn't know the difference between a domain name and a site.

So it appears. Also ownership of that domain name, shared hosting and DNS are things he's still unclear about. He's made ten posts today, not one addressing those issues, before replying to you asking the same question about ownership that I've already answered in a series of replies to both you and him. I give up.

Unless you have hosted a website a lot of that can be very confusing.

That's absurd. If one has a device that connects to the internet, pages containing information like this...

"Here’s a more in-depth take on the topic:

• A domain name is a form of internet address that’s most commonly used to identify websites and email addresses. For example, this website’s domain name is winningwp.com, and if you have a Gmail account under, say, snipped-for-privacy@gmail.com, then gmail.com is the domain name. • A website is what people see when they enter a domain name into their web browsers — it’s the collection of pages, files, data, and images that make up the final product that’s visible on-screen."

... aren't difficult to find and that info isn't difficult to understand... an address and 'the stuff' that address takes you to.

You once wrote you teach "computer education" so WTF is up? But it's worse than that, what you actually taught was related to the web, which is where we find things like domain names and websites. Are you saying you were unable to convey this difference to college level students until they hosted a site (whose failure was that, theirs or yours)?

(cue up a 'victim' claiming he's being 'attacked' again)

Just mindless trolling. And I am responding to that trolling. THAT is what the "Michael Snit Glasser circus" is. Chris must have read Michael Snit Glasser sites and became awfully resentful. I suspect this is not our first demonstration of the improved Chris. From what I've seen (which is none of it lately), it looks like the trolling nonsense got more sophisticated.

Michael Snit Glasser is far too ignorant to write a complex script. The only scripting he's capable of doing is copying code from online forums and claiming it as his own. Obviously, since programmers can call Michael Snit Glasser out (and did), he's lied; otherwise everyone else must be lying be about him, and I don't think Michael Snit Glasser's willing to say it is gang attack of himself and demand that's even possible.

'Narcissistic Bigot' Carroll

Snit seems to be a decent person. What has he done to you to make you not like him?

I made an AIM chat bot years ago that worked rather well -- could be in a forum for hours without being called out as a bot. Have migrated / rewritten it for IRC where it works far less well (different population and culture). Carroll has been whining about it and trying to show his Usenet flood bot somehow is "better", as if endless trolling is somehow a benefit.
