China going renewable.

It is generally expected that they will be largely replacing coal with natural gas. However, they may also be able to increase the amount of hydro-electric power, which is their main renewable source of energy -

280GW of installed plant, compared to 801GW of coal. Other renewable sources produce less than 1% of their energy needs. While they are projected to add 14GW of solar power, this is seen as being primarily to give a boost to Chinese solar panel manufacturers and help them become the world's largest exporters of solar panels.

It's good to see that they anticipate a significant increase in nuclear as well, which will stick in Harry's craw, and an increase in wind power, which will cheer him up in compensation.

I'm surprised that Harry is so in favour of renewable energy; it is something we are doing to meet EU imposed requirements.
