Replacement Corner Post for Marley Concrete Garage

You'll be luck to get a part for something that age.

I got out the loose concrete, wire brushed the reinforcing and built up the concrete with layers of cement mixed up with PVA trowelled on. Lasts a few years anyway with minimal cost. Helps if you can give the finished job a coat of bitumous paint.

Used a cup wire brush in angle grinder.

There are special kits for this sort of thing used formotorway bridges. No idea if small quantities are available. Google reinforced concrete repair kits. Epoxy resin and the like.

I have a garage at one end of a block of 1950's Marley (I think) concrete garages - the things built from prefabricated pebble dashed concrete sections. The corner post on the detached end of the garage that holds the door lintle up, and has one side of the up-and-over door frame (with springs) attached, is starting to fall apart from frost damage and the reinforcing rods are exposed and rusting.

Any idea where I could get a replacement from? Are there companies that could make one, given suitable drawings?

I don't think I could diy it in concrete, but maybe fabricate one out of timber. Wouldn't look so good but may be the only alternative.

Leofric buildings currently produce Marley garages and will also provide spares. How comprehensive their spares are I do not know.
