The reason that a ridge roof design is used, is that it gives max head height in centre ... typically where you are standing up .... monopitch means max heights is only at one edge. Duo pitch with ridge is also easier to make stable with small section timbers ... as each only spans to centre line ... with mono pitch they have to span full pitch, which means bigger section required and/or closer spacing.

As long as it is below 15m2 its not usually an issue since the changes to the regs a couple of years ago.

Probably one of the least followed regs. I take the common sense view:

This reg should IMO be enforced if the shed is next to the boundary adjacent to a house or garage, but if it's in the corner of the garden, the only threat is to the fence in most cases.
