They seem back to work round here.
Couple of doors down are having a new front garden path laid. Builders using picks and shovels to break up the old - rather than a Kango.
Both were wearing ear defenders, but no safety goggles. How very odd.

Safety goggles may be in short supply. Screwfix have some, but are limiting quantities.
Not as short supply as eyeballs, admittedly.

Of course it's hot so the windows are open.
Sigh ...
I would expect builders to have eye protection already, unless they were new to the job, which seems unlikely.

Saw a truck full of earth leaving the estate a couple of hours ago. Don't know how it was excavated.
