For reasons unknown, one of our toilets has developed a rather unsettling brown stain around the bottom.
We live in the softest water area in the universe (it would seem) as our kettle still looks new 15 years on. (SW Brum, in case you ask. Thank god for Welsh water :) ). S
o it's not limescale.
Anyhow some basic research suggested peroxide, so I dult emptied the bowl, sprayed and scoured after 30 mins. And 80% lifted with a touch of elbow grease. However the remainder seems a little bit more stubborn.
I see suggestions around citric acid and white vinegar - neither of which we have lying around. I'm willing to fork out if I have a degree of certainty (because I am getting as housebound as SWMBO, so everything is a delivery).
What would the group use ?
