i see a lot of adverts for a fix for tool batteries,is it a con?tia

All batteries wear out. The only real fix is to replace the cells. Sadly this can cost more than a new complete tool.
Would you care to point us at one so we can at least all be talking about the same thing? We get enough different opinions in here when there's only one subject - starting with, potentially, a shedload would seem to be tempting fate.
