B&Q

Same here. But not so easy to park round here. That was the beauty of that B&Q - a nice big car park.

Round here, most buying a house seem to rip it all out and start again. You might make money by doing up a place that could be a starter home, though.

Not very surprising given the huge prices they pay for the property. The rip out and replace it all is a small part of the total price.

Those doing the refurbs are clearly making money doing it or they wouldn?t keep doing it.

As I said for a first time buy. When trading up, unless to a new house, many might prefer to choose things their self.

A lot are sold to buy-to-letters who can pay the higher mortgage through the even higher rental income. They will also, if they're any good at it, have the project management skills and the trade contacts to turn a bought house into lettable condition quickly and economically.

Not sure what Whisky-Dave would say, he seems to have taken lockdown rather literally. No posts since early May ??. Maybe he only used the work internet connection.
