Any cheap pressure washers have attachments?

Hi All,

I've got an old, heavy but probably good quality pressure washer that hads optional attachments (sand blaster, bent wand etc) but wondered if these 27 quid (compact / light) jobs the sheds are selling have any 'extras' available (or maybe they could be considered 'generic' and therefore interchangeable?).

I was wondering if there was such a thing as a waste pipe cleaning attachment (maybe a 45 deg rearward facing multi nozzle flexi wand type of thing .. a bit like a flexi Waxoil applicator thing)?

If they do such a thing might they be a good way of clearing a sink / dishwasher wastes (from the outside ... re my previous post re waste pipes) ?

All the best ..

Hi Badger,

Thanks for that ..

I've had a google about and found a bit on the Alto / Kew models and add-ons but didn't see the pipe cleaning lance thing? Do you have a link to it on the net anywhere please.

Doing the search reminded me that my existing (and now quite old) PW is a KEW and from what the searches suggest they are either part of or were bought by Alto etc.

I leant my Kew (rectangular box like an Arc welder) to a mater with strict instructions to look after it and not let the kids play with it (when I leant it to him it was probably 10 years old and perfect). Of course it comes back broken .. apparently the kids were playing with it ....

To be fair he did offer to pay for the replacement parts but found they weren't available (nice , thanks) .. ;-(

From memory the lance bits connect to the gun with a bayonet fitting? Is that the same for your Alto (what model do you have)?

All the best .

I'm not sure if this bayonet fitting might be common to most pressure washers. I bought my PW in Focus DIY a couple of weeks back and they have the usual attachments which are slot-and-twist connection.

Mine is right bugger to untwist! I just snap it on and turn it a bit rather than full lock. Does the job.

The ALTO range includes one, it works too! Got one at work and one at home, some acc's are ok, but for clearing blocked pipes that ones a goody....

Don't have the model to hand, but Alto Force 5000 springs to mind, machine mart do them and the acc's:

for the Alto domestic acc's, "drain & pipe cleaner 15M"

Hi,

Woolies have a cheap model for £40 with a rotating brush and dirt blatster, I'd expect they will be available separately in time too.

cheers, Pete.
