You can't "develop" a torx head. It's just common sense, more points, more grip. The world is so f***ed up when the first person to think of something that simple gets all the credit.

I'd call that a clip. The screw is so flimsy it does not qualify to be a screw.

They piss me off royally, they fall apart when you try to remove them. More than a few years old and they've become brittle with age/heat/cold.

You clearly have never seen one. It is in fact nylon and isnt flimsy at all, just as good as metal when holding panels and given that you can just push the screw in to install it, works much better than a separate nut which needs some way to hold it in the panel so it doesn't turn when you tighten it.

And we are finally back at my initial point. I simply searched on Ebay (which means 1000s of sellers competing) to find some screws. Torx was way more expensive and also very rare.

At 5 times the price Torx can f*ck off.
