vinyl siding a wooden shed?

Where can I find instructions detailing how to install siding on a house, shed, etc? BTW, how easy/difficult is it to do by someone who has no experience siding whatsoever?

Thanks, Mike

I will leave the detailed instructions to someone else, but, just remember that them most important thing is NOT to nail it tight!

The Certainteed people have an installation guide that is close to the bible of the industry. Their customer service group will mail you one, or even better, find an honest-to-John old fashioned lumber yard that sells the product and they likely have some to hand out free. The product itself is some of the industry best.

It's nothing for a total klutz to try, but if you can measure, hammer, use scissors and hack saws, all without inflicting major pain to your body give it a go.

Siding is pretty much a two people job, so plan on that. There are simple tools needed that can usually be had at one of the box stores or online (Google). You positively must have scaffolding and planks homemade or otherwise to make the work hum along. Working in a high wind is more fun than you might like to try. Very high or low outdoor tempertures are not a good thing. There a fair amount of stuff to learn, so look around at jobs in progress on your area, take your time, ask questions, and do it right. HTH
