Should the U.S. pull out of Chicago ?

Body count: In the last six months 292 killed (murdered) in Chicago. (221 killed in Iraq) AND Chicago has one of the strictest gun laws in the entire US.

President:--Barack Hussein Obama Senator: Dick Durbin House Representative: Jesse Jackson Jr. Governor: Pat Quinn House leader: Mike Madigan Atty. Gen.: Lisa Madigan (daughter of Mike) Mayor: Rahm Emanuel

The leadership in Illinois - all Democrats. Can't blame Republicans; there aren't any!

Chicago school system rated one of the worst in the country. State pension fund $78 Billion in debt, worst in country.

Cook County ( Chicago ) sales tax 10.25% highest in country. And this culture is gonna 'fix' Washington politics for us???

SHHHH! You'll give the P.L.L.C.F. strokes and heart attacks when you post the truth about what abject failures they are. Their corpses will stink up the country much worse than they do now. O_o

TDD

Some would say to give everyone a gun or more guns .

Dougie boy, there you go making crap up again. None of us gun rights folks here ever suggested giving EVERYONE a gun. Only folks who want to carry a concealed weapon and are legally allowed to possess those weapons. Right now, the only folks carrying are the criminals. Capiche?

BTW, I wouldn't allow you to have a gun in any case. Clearly you have diminished mental capacity.

I feel your pain.... I wouldn't want any association with the village idiot either. But it's another example of how clueless he is, using just a common first name.

No thank you but if I were you, I wouldn't worry about the gun nuts. If you can't ignor those posts, then use an alias like trader4 does.

You're right. I guess using Trader4 is a better not common first name...LOL .

How do you know "Doug Miller" isn't an alias?

In Chicago, it is a question of what came first, the chicken or the egg. Since Chicago has always met the nation's needs for beef, booze, trains that ran on time, they should get a little relief to do things the way they want:o) Obama, Durbin, and the rest have little to do with the gun laws in Chicago. If they would let any Republicans in, it would prove that the R's are as helpless in reducing gun crimes. Rich folks packed AA's into slums for generations, charged high rents, kept them from moving to decent neighborhoods and now wonder why there is so much crime.....kids in gang territory have to join to survive.

Interesting article in (Atlantic?) about the relation of high lead levels in environ. and the crime levels that follow in about 20 years. Not proof, and no proof is claimed, and the author has studied quite a few regions, including NYC, where the statistics for both problems are accurate. Mayor G. got a lot of credit for reducing crime, but it might have been due more to the reduction of lead in gasoline.

You're correct, I don't but I think he gets my point.

Your logic is obviously flawed. If what you say had any connection to the reduction of lead in gasoline the murder rate would be at an all time low.

Chicago and other big cities are perfect examples of how the liberal agenda continues at full speed and yet we don't see the utopia the liberals claim will appear if they have their way.

No thank you.

It isn't my logic, dearie. The article compared statistics for different areas and different periods. I found the comparison interesting. Brain damage from lead doesn't advance one's social functioning very well.

Your comments are a perfect example of how mindless conservative claims do nothing...."Just say no"? Drug war?

The OP mentioned LAST six months, which may be correct. However, I find it interesting that he did not use the year long number. Actually the year end seems to indicate that the rate has been increasing over the last six months since it would put them on a pace for nearly 600 murders.
