So now it is PETAC? We have to treat animal corpses ethically too? I suppose they will have a funeral and place a little head stone next to the road.

So we train the to become vegans. Much healthier for them.
I ate a road kill rabbit once. I hit it, the spoiler pretty neatly broke it's neck. It seemed a shame to waste the resource.

Be nice. If PETA wants to scrape up the dead deer and bury them more power to them. It's not bad this time of the year when the ravens feast on deersicles, but in August passing a dead deer on a bike is a real joy. Helmet? Check. Jacket? Check. Gloves? Check. Vick's Vapo-Rub under nose? Check.
In this state if you kill it it's yours. One provision: you take the whole damn thing and don't butcher it on the side of the road.
I hit a deer a couple of years ago but it fled the scene. A nice lady pulled over to see if i was okay and I didn't want to disturb her by opening fire on the hooved rat.
I skinned a road kill mink once. Minks are in the same family as skunks as a word to the wise.
One of the guys over on Wrecked.Boats hit a deer on a motorcycle. No fun at all.
I damned hit a deer on the Whitehurst Freeway in downtown DC at around
3AM. There were 2 of them just standing in the road on a 2 lane, no shoulders, elevated highway. The one I thought I was going to hit jumped over the side at the last minute. It is about 35 feet down to K street. I didn't go down there to see how it landed because I was late to work. If I was on my way home I might have thrown it in the back of the truck, assuming it didn't crawl away.Join the Discussion
