So says a tv broadcast this morning. It's just a rumor so far. Going to the movies was a way to get out and about just to see people. It was a bit of a treat to do that. Now people are apparently just sitting home staring at their home televisions with an almost endless choice of things to watch. I guess some are building theater rooms to mimic a real movie house. Do drive in theaters still exist?

In many parts of the country you get to meet people you really didn't want to.
There is a real one in Butte. During covid a theater in Corvallis put a screen on the side of their building and created a drive-in. I think they've kept it up.
The one here closed in 2000. There isn't much of a season in Montana, Decoration Day to Labor Day mostly.
Yes. When I lived in Kansas there was one nearby, (it's still there), although we never went to it. Now that I'm in Mississippi, they're building a new one not too far away which is expected to be opening this summer.
