OT. 9/11 Flag

Another show is 15 Septembers Later. It showed President Bush in Florida at a school when the planes hit the towers. A little girl was reading to him. One of his staff whispered the news to him. He stayed put. Leaders don't get rattled. I think they took him of Offutt Air Base in Omaha then to the White House where he gave a speech.

Vice President Cheney said a Secret Service Agent lifted him off his chair and took him to the bunker under the White House. Cheney wasn't given a choice. It also showed how unprepared we were. I wondered if Flight 93 would've been shot down if necessary. No, it wasn't. American fighter planes weren't armed because the Cold War was over. The fighter pilots were told to take Flight 93 down by any means necessary. That meant ramming it. The passengers made that unnecessary. Bush made a trip down to the mess of buildings.
