Karma - Several kitchen plumbing problems

And I didn't say it was OK for people burning and looting not to wear masks. I didn't see anyone else here posting that either. I did see many media stories talking about the fact that the protesters and mobs were a health risk. I saw governors, mayors expressing concern over it. Call me crazy, but I expect better behavior from a president than a bunch of arsonists and looters. But thanks for that desperate comparison, Grumpy. Seems something is very wrong when you have to use the behavior of a mob committing felonies to try to justify what Trump is doing. Like I've said, Trump has lead this country straight into the gutter.

And Trump has one of these screw ups after another. I worked at a Fortune 100 company and if I set up something for the CEO and screwed the pooch like that, I'd get chewed out. If I did it a second time, I'd be looking for a new job. But then we didn't have that problem, because we hired smart, honest, ethical people and had a corporate environment of constructive confrontation. That's where if you see something wrong, have a disagreement, you're encouraged to bring it up, get it out in the open, discuss it. Trump's environment is exactly the opposite. If you try to give him good advice that he does not like, does not want to hear, he attacks you, fires you and replaces you with a sycophant that whispers in his ear how great and awesome he is.

Imagine if we had a president asking those questions and demanding answers.

Trump may be right that he has brought unprecedented awareness to Juneteenth. I have been asking around and this is the first time most of the people I asked, knew exactly what it was, even if they had heard the word. (still less than half). Now they are talking about making it a national holiday and I never heard that before. Galveston Texas seems to be where this started and it is a holiday there. I am not sure what is closed tho.

It sounds more like something Fauci should have been doing 4 months ago but I suppose it would have interfered with his TV time.

That's asking a lot of a Trump Republican, don't you think???

Then they w=should wear their mask. I already keep my distance and cough, sneeze, burp, etc, into my elbow. People want to take precaution for themselves, then wear the mask, gloves and any other false sense of security they want. Distancing and cleansing habits are what works for me.

Facts are ignored by the Democratic tunnel vision Trump hating lemmings.

I have to plead ignorance of it too. It sounds like something that black people would want to celebrate as much as July 4.

I had a similar work experience. Being naturally contrarian, it often fell on me to point out why a specific network design might not be the best way to do something, or that Vendor B might be a better fit than Vendor A. I was fortunate that management placed a high value on enabling us to speak up if we saw something that wasn't right.

In the current WH, it's not hard to see what happens when dissent is stifled. Every bad idea is allowed to run wild, completely unchecked. I assume there are plenty of people around the President who know that he's screwing up royally, but they're too afraid to say something out of fear of being fired and then tweeted at. There are no grown-ups in there anymore.

Ask your Black friends. Chances are that they know exactly what it is. I'm not surprised that the old White geezers at the shuffleboard court aren't in the loop.

Is that what's most important to you when it comes to holidays? You want to know what will be closed?

There are four states that don't do anything for Juneteenth and Montana is one of them. When blacks represent 0.6% of the population things like that tend to get overlooked.

New Hampshire had Fast Day on the 4th Monday in April and ignored MLK Day until 1991 when the screaming got too loud. They weren't about to give the state sloths another day off so they dropped Fast Day and went to Civil Rights Day in 1993. They still wouldn't mention the son of a bitch by name. Then they elected the first female governor, a Democrat, who pushed MLK Day through in 2000. NH was the last state to have that holiday.

Personally, I bailed in 1988 when I saw the direction the state was heading as the Massholes invaded. They're all the way up to 1.5% black now.

Or Kwanza. They need to spice it up. Cinco de Mayo is popular around here even though the Mexicans really don't celebrate it much. However it involves copious quantities of tequila and tacos. If Juneteeth want to catch on it will have to do better than Colt 45 and chitlins.

Yes, all history is important and should be preserved.  That's why I'm deeply saddened by the democrats destroying historical statues.

Did Trump spell minuscule that way?

Same here, never heard of it before. My first thought upon hearing it was - what a stupid name.

My hometown had its own civil rights hero to honor on Civil Rights Day, being practically forced to rename it MLK Day angered a lot of people.

He was white though, maybe civil rights heroes have to be black to be recognized by society.

That is what, generally speaking, they mean by being asymptomatic.

Yes, many of these so-called studies fit into that category.

You're right. They've shown that they're incapable of independent thought. They're like mental zombies until they receive their directions from Trump.
