I need a low frequency kitchen timer

Hi All,

I can hear above 1950 Hz. Is seems that all digital kitchen use the same transducer 2000 Hz.

Anyone know of a digital 10 key kitchen timer with a lower frequency alarm?

Many thanks,

-T

An old (no longer in use) iPhone or Android phone is probably your best bet. You have your choice of 100s of alarm sounds.

Can one still buy the old wind up timers with a bell ringer on it?

Those are the only kind we have.

Yup. Mine's magnetic and stuck on the side of the refrigerator. It's only good for 60 minutes so I have to reset it for big roasts and so forth. It was about $10 at Target.

The cheapest Google Nest and Amazon Echos do have much lower frequency alarms when they go off and are much easier to set by voice and can do multiple timers too.

Why does it have to be 10-key or digital? Get an old mechanical buzzer. Look on ebay just google for it, or look at Goodwill and Salvation Army.

When they buzz they're about 440 or 600cps. They only buzz in cps, they're too old to buzz in Hz.

My mother had a clock with a kitchen timer in it, goes up to 60 minutes iirc, easy to set, precisely. The telechron motor stopped working but I found an replacement, cleaned it and it's good as new. You would like it but I'm keeping it even though my mother can't use it and I don't use it.

I use my alexa dot. No hands. Not sure of hz but it is different than other digital timer sounds.

Well there aren't many and they're mixed in with things that are not timers, and none is like my mother's, but here are some
