Which would you rather eat?

ENRICHED BLEACHED FLOUR (BLEACHED WHEAT FLOUR, NIACINAMIDE, REDUCED IRON, THIAMIN MONONITRATE, RIBOFLAVIN, FOLIC ACID), SUGAR, LEAVENING (BAKING SODA, SODIUM ALUMINUM PHOSPHATE, MONOCALCIUM PHOSPHATE), DEXTROSE, NONFAT DRY MILK, PALM OIL, SALT, WHEAT GLUTEN, CORN SYRUP SOLIDS, SODIUM CASEINATE, MONO AND DIGLYCERIDES, DIPOTASSIUM PHOSPHATE, LACTIC ACID, TOCOPHEROLS (TO PRESERVE FRESHNESS).

versus:

Flour Baking powder Salt Sugar Milk Egg Butter

Or this:

CORN SYRUP, HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP, WATER, CELLULOSE GUM, CARAMEL COLOR, SALT, NATURAL AND ARTIFICIAL FLAVOR, SODIUM BENZOATE AND SORBIC ACID (PRESERVATIVES), SODIUM HEXAMETAPHOSPHATE.

versus:

As do I but not everyone does. Thus, if I don't like a product, I just don't buy it.

What I prefer to eat doesn't involve anyone else. You want to be vegetarian, homeopathic, holistic, all organic, etc. etc. etc. go for it but it's not your call to tell everyone else to feel or eat the same. Do you tell others how to have sex?

I'm far from a food Nazi. You should see me mow through a bag of Lays Flamin' Hot potato chips.

But it's so simple to make pancakes from scratch, I can't see why anybody would eat that other crap just based on taste.

If I told anybody else how to have sex, I'd tell them to have the best sex they possibly could, and not to settle for crappy sex.

I'm lazy;

They don't have much crap. If I'm ambitious I make my own with pure buckwheat flour, not buckwheat pancake mix.

That is a righteous mix. I don't recall ever having buckwheat pancakes.

If we can't have Aunt Jemima I'm not eating those racist Buckwheat pancakes either

Aunt Jemima's got your back. The commercial mixes are about 75% wheat flour but I use straight buckwheat or sometimes a little corn flour. a couple of the local stores have the flour in the bulk foods section, or you can make your own flour from groats. The roasted groats, generally called kasha, have stronger taste but work too.

Buckwheat is one of those things you either like or don't. Russians love it so take care.

I am not a big buck wheat fan but I do make my own mix for waffles and occasionally pancakes (not exactly the same mix). I make up a big batch of the dry ingredients and add the egg and milk as I go. The dry stuff will keep a while in a zip bag.

Yes, Joan Baez blazes her own trail, and always has. I guess I can say goodbye to Dixie Cups too - and their paper plates too. What are they going to do, just call them Cups?

I've got a book of banjo tabs by Tim Jumper that was published in 1984. In the heading for Dixie he says 'Play this for a crowd of more than two people and you'll get at least 2 rebel yells'. The 2020 edition will be appended by 'and 321 offended yells by antifa plus two shrieks by Jewish black lives matter activists from New Rochelle.'

That's if you get that far and don't have the banjo broken over your head for cultural appropriation. otoh, we'll have to toss all those Jimi Hendrix recordings where he played an European derived instrument built by that white devil Leo Fender.

The strange thing is the song Dixie was written in a New York hotel room by a guy from Ohio and the term refers to Jeremiah Dixon, a Geordie boy from England. There are no real southern origins at all.
