Carvana

Carvana is a problem.

I think they say they have 27,000 cars listed, and I figure if 1% are convertibles, that would be 270, more choices than I usually have.

And indeed it found me a lot of Miatas, a Camaro (a model I'd like probably but have ignored) and some others.

I want to exclude some makes, but when I chat, the chatbox talked to me about picking a color. Three times. When I asked for a human, it said yes, but none ever came on, twice.

I've pretty much lost interest in them. A shame.

Although frankly their listings are cot as complete as Ebay motors. The car I bought that way had about 40 pictures, of everything. Carvana seems to have a few pictures, and they push that they have pictures of any damage. That's good.

I tried it looking for a Toyota Tacoma. It worked fairly well. Firefox browser on a brand new shiny MacBook Air. Did you notice some of the Ebay vehicles were from Carvana? Ebay's vehicles were all listed as local pickup.

I haven't needed to look at ebay for 3 or 4 years. Local pickup because Carvana trucks them in, AFTER you pay for them???

Don't know. " Review your contracts and sign them electronically. Feel free to take as much time as you'd like, or complete the process in as little as 10 minutes. Once you get the paperwork out of the way, simply select a delivery or pick up time, submit your down payment information, and you are all set. The internet, your car-expert friends, and our customer advocates are all at your disposal. No pressure. No fast talking. No managers or back rooms. You are in complete control."

And

"At Carvana, we know that buying a car is a serious undertaking. We want to do everything we can to put your mind at rest. Every car we sell is Carvana Certified Carvana Certified with a 100 day/4,189 mile ?Worry Free Guarantee,? and a 7-Day Money Back Guarantee. We work as hard as we can before your purchase to make sure the car is everything you expect it to be. If for any reason you decide the car isn't right for you, we will take it back, free of awkwardness. We're in this for the long haul, so breathe easy."

I participate in an auto forum. A few guys bought cars from Carvana and they seem to be satisfied enough with them. Problems they found were taken care of.
