BD, pick up the phone

Hey BD, do you get a government funded pension in Britain? We have to pay into a Social Security fund to get a retirement check every month. We also can setup a fund for this purpose by paying into it on our own. How is retirement setup in Britain?

In other words, is Britain's government as f***ed up as the US's government?

I don't normally monitor this group, Dave Eagle! You are lucky to catch me!

Yes, I *DO* get a pension from the UK government - well actually, TWO pensions! One as an ordinary citizen and another as a 'veteran' (ex-Royal Navy)

I call BS! You monitor any and all newsgroups you think might be one that users you stalk may post in.

BTW, if you get tired of people calling you a stalker I have a solution... just stop stalking!

Did you pay into these pensions out of your pocket?

True. I already got my credits. :) I won't actually live long enough to collect, but, in the highly unlikely! event I did, and SS wasn't bankrupt by then, I'd be okay.

Good question.

Would this be an example of socialism, Dave?

No, the Navy one was paid by the Navy, IOW, by the tax payer. BD didn't pay a cent, or penis, or whatever the currency is there.

No, under socialism he would be entitled to ONE public pension, the same as everyone else. Maybe you should enquire, I don't think anyone is entitled to TWO public pensions. []'s

The States must be a communist-socialist country then. Party members suckling on the States's teats while 30% of the workers are below the hunger line ? OMG. What happened to capitalism ? []'s

PS I know about the one you get for mental issues and your deceased mom's pension you cash in. That's not called 2 pensions, that's called fraud.

No, not really. It's just an extension of extra Income Tax but under another name.

Can you stop STALKING for a few hours ?

Tell us about how you get TWO public pensions in the UK while only contributing to ONE. []'s

Lie. (see last message)

Lie. Wow. You really are laying it on, huh ? It has absolutely nothing to do with income tax. Even someone that has NEVER paid income tax has a right to a pension in the UK. If you are 65, you get a pension. []'s

Thanks Dave. The British system is very different than what this country has going. {which is close to bankruptsy and has been for many years now.] I have two independant pensions plus My SS income. I setup a 401K and a union pension trust income plus what My Wife's SS income adds to the kitty. That Chevy C10 pro mod took a few bucks, but it was fun building it. :D
