Huge long shot but can anyone identify this water tank or give a rough age?

Are you trying to replace it? Need to know the capacity? It is really hard to identify from this picture (your ironing board is featured more prominently, lol) but you can easily measure it to get a rough idea about capacity. You can also obviously measure the space the replacement will go into... So, a more intelligent answer will probably depend on what you need the identification for.
