Suggest you start by cleaning your keyboard -- looks like you spilled something sticky near the ";" key.
I would just vacuum thoroughly. Is there any mold on it? Is there anything there causing an odor? As far as cleaning an old house.........lots of time and elbow grease. Bonnie

If you let them put the carpet down they'll be able to help you clean the concrete. Tell them to leave it inside in case it rains.
