8" is pretty long. KBC tools has some. longest will probably be 4". You might get a HSS cutoff blade 1/4 X 1 X 6. Ford tool steel will have A2 & M2 and other varieties unhardened cut to your length. Then you will have to hardened & grind them.
Power hacksaw blades. My last ones were a couple of feet long and only £3 each.
Hardened HSS is near unworkable though, and you can't anneal it.
