Im making a cabinet for a friend. It a 70" long open cabinet solid maple
top and 4 uprights 11/2" width the 3 shelves in each section are made form
3/4 mdf maple veneer. Ineed a way for the shelves to pull out and hold
Any ideas for runners that wont really been seen as the shelf is only 3/4"
thick with no from on it only and iron on edge. I could put a 1/2" x 1/2"
bar under the shelf at the front set back 1/4" to hide runner. Do you know
of any that are slim and maybe rebated into the shelf.
There are wire shelf supports. The app'x. 1/8" wire has been bent into
a shallow "U" shape and the legs are inserted into drilled holes on the
cabinet sides like shelf clips. The shelf has a groove (blind on the
front) and is just slid onto the supports. You wouldn't be able to pull
the shelves all the way out but probably sufficient for your purpose.
Can't point you to a source, sorry.
