It's Channel 30 here, NC. Tonight, at 10 PM, and 2 AM, they'll show a tour of the Gibson Guitar Co., and how to assemble a Les Paul guitar. Then casket mking. The show is Some Assembly Required. It's also listed on Sn and Sun, but doesn't tell what the show will be those two days. Should be interesting.

I've actually built one of their guitar kits. I have to say that it was interesting, nerve wracking and most detail oriented work I've done to date.
Lots of steps of building up material seemingly removing most of it a step or two later.
Sadly the instructions that came with the kit make a few assumptions on the part of the builder's knowledge. I ended up downloading a second set of instructions for a comparable kit from Stewert McDonald Between the two I got the kit put together.
Saw the show, Some Assembly Required. Sort of like How It's Made, but with a guy doing hands on. At least he's not a total idiot like I've seen in one or two other shows. NOT referring to Mike Rowe on Dirty Jobs, enjoy him and the show very much. All in all, an interesting show. I'll definitely watch it again if it is going to be a regular show. They did steel caskets, which was interesting, but kinda wish they'd done wooden caskets too. The Gibson company was quite interesting, but an electric guitar is an electric guitar far as I'm concerned. Even so, I'd definitely watch the same show again, I always get new ideas or inspiration. All in all, good show.
